Main Library extended opening hours

Extended opening hours between 06.00 and 22.00

If you work or study at the Swedish Defence University, you can visit the library between 06:00 and 22:00 every day of the week.

You can access the digital resources around the clock by logging in with your FHS account.

How does extended opening hours work?

  • Through extended opening hours, you can visit the library outside regular opening hours. You will then have access to the library's study environment and resources between 06:00 and 22:00 every day of the year. Eligible are you who are studying or working at the Swedish Defence University.
  • When the library closes for the day, you must go out and bring all your belongings. When the guard tells you to, you can enter using your access card.

  • Use the small door to the right of the main entrance when the library is unmanned.

  • You must not let unauthorized persons into the premises.

  • You borrow and return yourself using the lending machines.

NOTE: Leave the library for the evening before 22.00 otherwise you risk being locked in. Listen for the beep that sounds before.

What do you do if something happens?

  • If a serious incident occurs at the library: see the contact information posted in the library by the small entrance door and by the photocopier.

  • Is the loan machine out of order? Fill out a loan form that can be found at the machine. Leave the form in the mailbox next to the machine.
